NHS seniors earn awards, scholarships

Several Newkirk High School seniors were presented with scholarships at an awards ceremony held on April 28.
Valedictorian citations were presented to Jordyn Carleton, Brinley Deibler, Lilly Free, Brooklynne Reyes, and Claire Schieber.
Jordyn Carleton was named an Oklahoma Academic Scholar.
The McCormick Family Scholarship was presented to Grace Fleming. Highpoint Partners presented scholarships to Leanne Robb and Brooklynne Reyes.
The Newkirk Education Foundation presented their scholarship to Jordyn Carleton.
Sydnie Matlock received the Anderson Higher Education Scholarship.
The Bill and Katy Bliss Higher Education Scholarship was presented to Katrina Drake.
The Fred and Fern Kucera Memorial Scholarship was presented to Seth Scott.
Lilly Free received the Bob and Rosie Coffee Scholarship.
Brinley Matlock and Claire Shieber received the Doug and Sandra Cline Memorial Scholarship.
Katrina Drake, Sydnie Matlock,and Seth Scott received scholarships from the Newkirk Business Club.
Sydnie Matlock and Claire Schieber were presented with the Iden Schieber Memorial Scholarship.
Brinley Deibler and Claire Schieber received scholarships from the Newkirk Lions Club.
Lilly Free, Katelynn Logan, and Seth Scott were awarded with scholarships from Northern Oklahoma College.
Cowley College presented scholarships to Katrina Drake and Sydnie Matlock.
Claire Schieber received a scholarship from the Community Health Foundation.
