County party endorses Terrazas over Coleman

Staff Report
The Kay County Republican Party is endorsing Jadan Terrazas over incumbent Bill Coleman in the Republican primary for Oklahoma State Senate District 10. The primary is June 16.
In a press release, the party called Ponca City native Terrazas a patriotic Christian conservative.
“Jadan Terrazas represents the principled leadership needed to advance conservative values, protect our communities, and deliver results for District 10, which includes the majority of Kay County, all of Osage County, and parts of Tulsa County,” the release states.
Terrazas and Coleman face each other Thursday at a candidate forum at the Newkirk Senior Center. The forum starts at 6 p.m. and is sponsored by Newkirk Main Street and the Newkirk chamber.
“Attend the forum to hear directly from the candidates as they share their vision for the future or District 10 and the priorities they will take to the capitol,” an announcement reads. “Informed voters are powerful voters.”
The winner of the GOP primary will face Chayelynn Moore, the only Democrat candidate filed for the seat, in the general election Nov. 3.
District 10 covers all of Osage County, most of Kay County, and a small portion of Tulsa County.
Coleman, a graduate of Pawhuska High School, has worked as a radio broadcaster. He owns Team Radio Marketing Group, which consists of nine radio stations in Ponca City and Stillwater.
He has represented District 10 since 2018 and is Assistant Majority Whip of the Oklahoma Senate.
