VFW Auxiliary seeking volunteers for cemetery flag placement

The Newkirk VFW Auxiliary will be placing flags on veterans’ graves at the Newkirk Cemetery Thursday, May 26.

Volunteers are needed and very much appreciated in the placement of the flags. The volunteers will meet at the Flag Pole between 8 – 8:30 a.m. Volunteer groups will receive maps detailing where to place the flags. Undesignated graves also can receive a flag.

If an undesignated veteran grave is identified, please contact the VFW Auxiliary so the veteran can be included in future events.

The flags will be picked up on Wednesday, June 1. Volunteers are also needed for this and will meet again at the Flag Pole between 8 – 8:30 a.m.
