NES Time Capsule

Thursday, March 3 was a special day for first graders in Heather Kubik’s and Andrea Mooney’s classes as they placed a special time capsule in the Newkirk Public School vault. The time capsule was sealed Feb. 22 (2/22/22) and will be opened March 3, 2033 (3/3/33) when they are seniors. The students wrote letters to themselves about their favorite activities, tv shows, movies and more, to remind their older selves what they enjoyed when they were younger. Letters were also written by the teachers, as well as Principal Brandie Choate.
