Library announces summer reading winners

NEWKIRK — The Newkirk Public Library (NPL) has concluded their Summer Reading Bingo program, and is pleased to announce the winners of the program.
Participants received a bingo card from the NPL at the beginning of the summer, and filled out the card with books they read in a variety of genres or styles. Those who filled out a complete card will receive a gift card from area businesses, including Apple Market, Capone’s Hoagies, Cheeky Burger, Dollar General, Tractor Supply Co. and Walmart. A top winner in the teen and adult categories received an Amazon Kindle.
Riley Wilson won in the teen division, while Rebecca White was the winner in the adult division.
Other participants who received a gift card are Caralee Boswell, Nancy Chaney, Hannah Cross, Kelle Cross, Karen Dye, Melissa Hutchason, Claudine King, Karen Overman, Don Roy, Sue Roy, Kurt Stebens, Laura Stuemky and Bernita Wathor.

The NPL is open Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m. x 5 p.m. and Saturday, 1- 4 p.m. NPL also offers Libby by Overdrive for e-books, audio books, magazines and movies.
