Pool Opens

The Newkirk Aquatic Facility had its opening day for the summer season June 4. Returning Pool Manager Kim Wilson said the first few days of the season have been “really good.”
She said the nearly 90-year old pool had a recent paint job before it was filled for the summer.
Admission is $3 and pool passes are available for $25. The facility, at 810 W. 10th Street in Newkirk, is open from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday. It is also open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The facility is closed on Mondays.
