Senior Center, LTCA to provide Extra Help clinic

Press Release

The Long Term Care Authority (LTCA) of Enid Area Agency on Aging is thrilled to announce they are partnering with the Newkirk Senior Center to provide an Extra Help clinic to help seniors with Medicare programs and affording prescriptions for a healthy life.

The event will be July 21 from 9 a.m. – noon at the Senior Center, and is open to the public.

Prescription medicine is important for keeping seniors healthy and active, but it can be expensive. For those who are seniors, or if there is someone they know who is on Medicare and having trouble paying for their prescription medication, please pass this information on to them.

There are programs available for low-income Medicare beneficiaries that can help pay some of the costs associated with health care. Based on the person’s income and assets, they may qualify for help with their prescription costs, or in some situations it can even cover their Medicare premiums, coinsurance, and deductibles.

It costs nothing to apply, so there is nothing to lose and everything to gain. Please allow the LTCA the opportunity to assist with the EXTRA HELP application.

Please contact the LTCA of Enid Area Agency on Aging at (580) 234-7475 to schedule an appointment. Walk-Ins are welcome. LTCA of Enid Area Agency on Aging will provide a Medicare counselor to assist individuals in applying for Extra Help assistance.
