NEWKIRK — Many school groups hold fundraisers for their respective organization, ranging from candy and cookies to beef sticks. The Kay County 4-H organization is holding one of their own, and is taking it a step forward by offering homemade cinnamon rolls in an effort to raise funds for county-wide activities.

The fundraiser will go through Oct. 25 and will support 4-H activities throughout the county.

The fundraiser will support 4-H activities across the county, especially for officer activities.

“It helps with programs, educational activities,” said Kay County 4-H Educator Liz Nicholson. “If one of the students wants to put on a workshop it’ll help fund that, as well.”

The fundraiser will also put funds toward Kay County officer uniforms and county officer training.

Orders are due Oct. 25, and will be ready Nov. 13.

“There will be a dozen cinnamon rolls in a 9 x 13 in. aluminum pan,” Nicholson said.

For more information, contact the Kay County 4-H member or the Kay County Extension office at (580) 362-3194.
