Kay County Walk of Warriors Project continues
Press Release
NEWKIRK — Veterans across Kay County have been honored for their service in a variety of ways, whether that be with the Kay County war Memorial at the Courthouse, or school programs held annually on Veterans Day. Veterans now have a new, unique chance to be recognized with the Kay County Walk of Warriors, with their legacy forever imprinted on stone pavers in Downtown Newkirk.
Veterans of all branches can be recognized in the project, even if they aren’t from Newkirk.
The Kay County Walk of Warriors project was introduced at the end of October, and more than 250 pavers have been sold. Brick pavers may be purchased to honor any American who has served or is currently serving in the U.S. Armed Services. The deadline to order is Dec. 31. The veteran does not need to be a resident of Kay County, and anyone can purchase a brick paver in support of a veteran.
The Walk of Warriors will be located in front of the beautiful Kay County Courthouse.
