Everett Brazil, III/The Newkirk Herald Journal Students began the last week of Summer NASA Monday morning, with fun activities like movies, water slides and making popcorn balls. The program ended Wednesday, and will reconvene after the start of the school year.

Everett Brazil, III/The Newkirk Herald Journal Work on the Walk of Warriors, in front of the War Memorial at the Kay County Courthouse began Wednesday, June 23, as sidewalk demolition began. The Walk of Warriors will feature paver stones with the names of Kay County veterans, from all branches and all backgrounds.

Everett Brazil, III/The Newkirk Herald Journal Summer NASA students morphed into “mad scientists” Tuesday morning, June 29 when Mad Science, of Edmond, Okla., presented lessons in science ranging from astronomy and astrophysics to energy and other scientific disciplines. They and came at the start of the program in early June.
