Everett Brazil, III/The Newkirk Herald Journal Newkirk elementary and middle school students met at the elementary school Monday, May 23 for the return of Summer NASA, held Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. – noon. The event goes through the end of the month.

Everett Brazil, III/The Newkirk Herald Journal First United Methodist Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church, First Presbyterian Church and Christ’s Church joined together May 23 – 26 for Vacation Bible School, where students enjoyed music, crafts and fellowship while learning about God. It was the first program since 2019.

Everett Brazil, III/The Newkirk Herald Journal Community supporters met with VFW Auxiliary volunteers Thursday, Maty 26 o place flags on the graves of veterans at the Newkirk Cemetery, as well as Washunga Cemetery in honor of Memorial Day, May 30.

Everett Brazil, III/The Newkirk Herald Journal The newest class of Newkirk Tigers earned their diplomas Tuesday, May 17 at the Pre-K graduation ceremony, held in the school cafeteria. The students performed several songs for their family and friends, and also featured a special slide show about what they want to be when they grow up.
