Election Day

Tuesday was Primary Election Day in Newkirk and across the state. Voters came out to vote for congressional, gubernatorial, legislative and judge candidates. Results will be published in next week’s edition.
“In person was busy and today has been very busy. It seems like people are getting out to vote,” said a spokesperson with the Kay County Election Board late Tuesday morning.
There were 498 in-person votes as of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
