Kay County Democrats to meet

Press Release

PONCA CITY — The Kay County Federation of Democratic Women will meet Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. in Perkins Restaurant meeting room.
The speaker will be Jana Harmons, president of the Oklahoma Federation of Democratic Women’s Club.
Hamons is a mother, grandmother, wife, sister, community worker, activist and a survivor. She volunteers at Making the World a Better Place to live.
Women of Kay County and surrounding counties are encouraged to join with us. Those wishing to order food, please come a little earlier.

The Kay County Democratic Party will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) in the West Seminar Room. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

This will be a working meeting. The main part of the meeting will be planning the final details for the banquet that will be held on Nov. 1. The speakers for the banquet will be Rep. Trish Ranson of House District 34 and the Minority Leader Rep. Emily Virgin. Tickets for the banquet are still available.

The second topic of the evening will be volunteering in the Democratic Party. The Oklahoma Presidential Primary is March 3, 2020. That is less than seven months away. For some that seems like a long time, but in terms of campaigns it is not. We will be discussing how to talk to people and how to get Democrats to the polls. All Democrats are invited to come and learn how to be a volunteer in the Democratic Party.

If you need additional information, please contact the Kay County Democratic Party Chair Amy Muegge at KayDemChair@aol.com. Once again, the meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 15 in the West Seminar Room at PTC in Ponca City.
