Harrelson, Reyes named NMS Students of the Month
NEWKIRK — Brinlee Harrelson and Santiago Reyes have been named the Newkirk Middle School (NMS) April Students of the Month.
Reyes is the son of Valerie Reyes. He enjoys participating in TSA, fishing and gaming. His favorite subject in school is tech ed because he finds technology very interesting. He has been on the principal’s honor roll the last several years.
He contributes his success in school to his friends and his mom. He would like to attend college somewhere to pursue a degree in computer technology.
He believes students can make a positive contribution to society by not littering and taking care of their community.
Harrelson is the daughter of Don and Cassy Harrelson. She enjoys participating in FFA, reading and playing volleyball. Brinlee’s favorite subject in school is language arts because she loves to read.
She has been listed on the principal and superintendent’s honor roll. She contributes her success in school to good teachers and she gets money from family for making good grades.
Once she graduates she plans to attend Oklahoma State University and pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. She believes that students can make a positive contribution to society by trying their best.
