NEWKIRK — Senior healthcare is on the forefront of Newkirk’s Senior Center, and Friday, April 21, those citizens will find a wealth of health information, as the Senior Center is holding the annual health fair, bringing in many resources across a variety of health and wellness issues.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

“We team up with local Kay County agencies, and the Newkirk Fire Department comes and grills for us, so lunch will be provided,” said Center Director Serena Welch. “There’ll be over 20 vendors, and health booths will be set up inside and out.”

Vendors include the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS), Newkirk Dental Center, Angels Care Home Health, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Mayer Eye Clinic, AirEvac and AllianceHealth Ponca City.

“DHS will be able to provide great resources for seniors and our community alike,” Welch said.

There will also be a variety of prizes for participants.
For more information, including to RSVP, contact the Senior Center at (580) 362-1409 or Welch at (405) 213-5360
