NPS hosts state school board meeting

Thursday evening, March 3 was a special time at Newkirk Public Schools (NPS) as the facility played host to the Region 3 OSSBA (Oklahoma State School Board Association), welcoming school leaders to the commons for the event.

It was the first time NPS hosted the event.

Schools participating in the event including Billings, Enid, Tonkawa, Deer Creek-Lamont, Ponca City, Pioneer Technology Center, Noble, Chisolm, Frontier, Blackwell, Stillwater and Kildare.

Julie Miller, the OSSBA deputy executive director and general counsel presented where education is at with bills that are passing through the legislature. Cheryl Lane from Frontier Public Schools was unanimously elected to serve as the Region 3 Director again.

Stagecoach served a great meal for the Region 3 members.
