Civic Tree

With the completion of U.S. Highway 77 north of Newkirk, volunteers have been busy erecting new welcome signsThe Newkirk FFA chapter has worked tediously over the past 18 months to create a new civic tree that will display all Newkirk civic organizations. FFA students on site to assist with the installation of the Newkirk civic tree were Devon Littledeer, Ethan Vap, Rowdy Barber, Jacob Merhoff and Bailey Reinart, Newkirk Agricultural Education Instructor.
City of Newkirk employees who assisted were Joe Huffman, Colesen Willits and Kevin Rollins along with volunteers Austin Gregory, Luke Randol, Curt Johnstone, Dalton Leathers, Landon Roe and Jared Engelking. Other FFA members who assisted with the project were Emalee Kelly, Gunner Payne, Matthew Mayse, Mason Wathor and Reese King. In January FFA students will complete the signs and installation on the tree. Community teamwork is abundant in Newkirk! Merry Christmas Newkirk.
