Newkirk Elementary School students got up close with the Newkirk Fire Department, as they brought a fire safety trailer to the school where they learned fire safety concepts such as smoke safety, fire alarms and having a safe place outdoors when they escape a fire. They also got the opportunity to climb inside a fire truck.
