NHS Food Drive

Several Newkirk High School classrooms were filled with boxes and shopping carts of food items recently, as the National Honor Society and Culture Club finished their annual food drive Friday afternoon, Oct. 23, brining in more than 2,000 items in one of the most successful drives the groups have held. All classes received a pizza party due to the success of the event. Organizers are thrilled at how the students stepped up to the plate to get the work done. All food will stay in the Newkirk community, as it was donated to the food pantry at House of Refuge Church.
