The Newkirk Lady Tigers junior high and high school fast pitch softball teams have already hit the field in preparation for the 2019 season. Activities included learning to slide into the base to avoid getting an out. The high school team welcomes the Ponca City Lady Wildcats for a scrimmage Aug. 9, and the junior high team welcomes Perry Aug. 13.
