How To Submit Advertising
and News Copy To The
Newkirk Herald Journal

Classified Ads
Classified word ads delivered
to the Newkirk Herald Journal by 5:00 p.m. Monday to be included
in the current week's issue.
ALL CLASSIFIED ADS MUST
BE PREPAID
BEFORE PUBLICATION
Cost is 22¢ per word with
a minimum charge of $3.00 (up to 14 words) per issue. If your
ad is to run in two or more consecutive issues, the cost is 20¢
per word per issue with a minimum charge of $3.00 per issue.
Be sure to enclose dates of publication and your name and address
with your copy. Advertising without identification and address
will not be published.
Display Advertising
Display Advertising Copy may
be submitted by email in Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF)
if desired. Be sure to test your file on your printer before
transmitting to be sure it is error free.
Use your e-mail program to attach your PDF document to an e-mail
message. Be sure to provide your firm name, billing address and
dates of insertion on the form. Display advertising deadline
is noon Tuesday of the week of publication. Publisher reserves
the right to edit, reject, or require cash in advance on any
or all submissions.
The Newkirk Herald Journal uses Standard Advertising Unit column
sizes. Open rate is $6.14 per column inch, and NHJ honors 15
percent Agency Discounts and 2 percent Agency Cash Discounts.
Other frequency and volume discounts may apply to trade area

Legal Notices
Legal Firms may submit legal notice advertising
for publication in the Newkirk Herald Journal electronically.
Legal Notices must be received by 5:00 p.m. Monday of the week
of publication. Rates are standard as established by the Oklahoma
Legislature.
Provide us with your firm name, billing address, date of first
publication and number of times the notice must run. We will
confirm your order by telephone, publish the notice, and provide
you with proof of publication and billing.
Copy the text of your legal notice to an e-mail, or "attach"
a text-only file of the notice and email to adv@newkirkherald.com.
News Copy
News Copy will be considered
for publication if received before deadline at noon on Tuesday.
Any copy received after deadline will be considered for publication
in the next issue. Receipt by deadline does not guarantee publication
in the newspaper. The editor retains sole discretion whether
news copy is published or rejected.
If submitting press releases
or news copy by email, please include as text in the body of
the message or attach as a text only file. Photographs submitted
electronically should be in either .tif, .gif, .jpg, or .eps
format. All photographs should either be stuffed or zipped with
a compression utility program such as Stuff-it.
