Newkirk steps out of district play for the final time Friday night traveling to Morrison for a date with the Wildcats.

The Tigers, still looking for their first win, are 0-7, Morrison comes into Friday’s game at 6-1.

“These last three weeks are important to this program,” said head coach Sonny Schovanec.  “We need to continue to improve, we need to continue to get our work in and get better these next three weeks.”

“We can make improvements that will make us a better football team next year,” he said.  “It’s important for our players to realize that every day on the practice field and every game night is an opportunity to get better.”

Morrison’s lone loss was to Tonkawa 15-0 in Week 2.  In other common opponents, the Wildcats beat Pawhuska 30-12 and Pawnee 12-2.

NHS will end the season with a home game against Hennessey and a road game at Alva.
